Mr. T. Palanivel demonstrated a strong passion for serving in the police force from a young age. With determination and focus, he appeared for the Tamil Nadu Police Recruitment Examination between 1998 and 2001 and successfully passed it. However, despite his achievement, unforeseen circumstances prevented his appointment into the police service. While this setback could have discouraged many, it instead became a defining moment that shaped his resilience and future path. In line with his family’s wishes, Mr. Palanivel married his maternal uncle’s daughter, beginning a new chapter in his personal life. Together, they built a strong and supportive family foundation, standing by each other through every challenge and success. His family has played a vital role in his journey, offering encouragement and stability throughout his evolving career.

Entrepreneurial Journey in Delhi

In 2004, driven by the search for better opportunities, Mr. Palanivel moved to New Delhi, the capital of India. There, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by founding Harish Tharun Enterprises. Through dedication, discipline, and consistent effort, he successfully established and expanded his business, earning trust and respect among customers and associates alike. Recognizing the unique needs of Tamil families living far from their homeland, he diversified his business activities. He introduced a grocery distribution service aimed at providing high-quality essential goods at affordable prices. His initiative focused on supporting middle-class and working-class Tamilians in Delhi, ensuring they had access to familiar and necessary household products.

Service and Innovation During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 marked a significant turning point in Mr. Palanivel’s journey. During a time when the world came to a standstill, he rose to the occasion with innovation and compassion. Understanding the struggles faced by people during the lockdown, he launched a mobile application called “Chennai Star” to deliver groceries and essential items directly to Tamil residents in Delhi.This initiative not only ensured safety and convenience for families but also addressed the urgent need for access to basic supplies. Furthermore, his efforts extended beyond service delivery — the venture created employment opportunities for nearly 300 economically weaker individuals. During one of the most challenging global crises, he provided both support and livelihood to many in need.
