Mr.Annamalai was born in a rural village Doddampatty from Tamilnadu,son of an ordinary farmer Mr.Kuppusamy.He attained the highest rank of IPS at Karnataka and also became an inevitable mark in the hearts of people from karnataka.He broke the myth that people of Karnataka were against people of Tamilnadu,moreover Birthday celebration people of Karnataka affectionately call him "SINGAM". He is a great man who took a political stand for the welfare of the Tamilnadu people considering his IPS position as insignificant switched Khaki shirt to Khadi shirt only to contribute clean politics.Annamalai was a 2011 batch IPS officer.UPSC Rank- 244. He served as a Civil Servant in various locations for eight years. Annamalai was fondly called Singham Annamalai in Karnataka. Annamalai’s journey into public service began with his remarkable achievement in the civil service examination, leading to his selection as an officer in the prestigious Indian Police Service (IPS) within the Karnataka cadre.
